There’s the outspoken Viviana, who is more than happy to quit her secretarial job for a taste of adventure. Then there’s Dottie, a shy music teacher whose melodious talents are sure to bring heart and hope to the boys on the front lines.

Chosen for their inner strength and outer charm, the trio isn’t prepared for the daunting challenges of war. MY REVIEW

Wowzers!! This was a heartbreaking book that will grab you and won't let go until that last page is read. Fiona Denning thought she had her life figured out until the horrors of WW2 came to America when her fiance Danny joined the fight for freedom but he has gone missing during a raid over Germany. Determined to learn Danny's fate, Fiona joins the Red Cross Clubmobile with her two friends; Viviana & Dottie.

It's only when they arrived in Britain that these three woman learn the true horrors of War while trying to give the boys something to look forward to with live music and doughnuts. As Fiona learns the fate of Danny, she is presented with yet another challenge that will lead to that unbelievable ending that will have yourself in tears for what really happened during that time we call, WW2.

I can't spoil too much of this book but if you are big into historical fiction set during World War 2, then this is the book for you! I never realized that the Red Cross Clubmobile was a thing until this book and it's makes you glad that during all the evilness, the boys fighting had something good to look forward to with this program. I'm not gonna lie to y'all, this book will have you in tears during certain points but that ending is something good to look forward to when these three woman finally get their happy ending in a way that you won't imagine!
